Please read these terms carefully. They apply whenever you use this website or purchase a service or product through it.

1. Who We Are and Acceptance of These Terms

This website, iuliaistrati.com (the “Site”), is operated by Iulia Istrati, a sole trader registered in Romania as a persoană fizică autorizată (PFA) under the name Istrati Iulia Persoană Fizică Autorizată (“we”, “us”). Our registered office is at B-dul Bucureștii Noi 136, et. parter, ap. 5, Sector 1, București, Romania. We are registered in the Trade Register under number F2024012860005, CUI 50747836. By using the Site, submitting an enquiry, or registering for a training or program, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Our Services

Through the Site we offer coaching and training services, including 1:1 coaching sessions, group sessions, corporate training, speaking engagements, structured programs (such as the Mind Alchemy Process and Brainfulness for a Happier Workplace), the Scrum Master Training & Certification Prep program, and digital products such as the Art of Becoming book, the Mind Alchemy e-book, and the Art of Becoming workbook. Descriptions, dates, and prices shown on the Site are kept as accurate and current as possible. The price displayed at checkout is the binding one.

3. Booking, Registration, and Payment

Prices for our services and programs are shown in EUR and, unless stated otherwise, are final consumer prices. The price shown at checkout, or set out in the proposal or booking confirmation we send you, is the binding one.

Online registration and payment. The Scrum Master Training & Certification Prep program can be booked and paid for directly on the Site. You register through the form on the relevant page and pay securely via Stripe’s hosted checkout. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe, and we never see or store them. Your place is confirmed once payment is completed, you receive a payment receipt from Stripe at the email address you provide, and we contact you before the start date with the joining link and any preparation materials. Places are subject to availability and are allocated in the order payments are completed.

Enquiry-based and tailored services. Our other services and programs are arranged individually, including 1:1 coaching, corporate training, group workshops (such as the Mind Alchemy Process and the Brainfulness for a Happier Workplace workshop), and speaking events. For these, you contact us through the form on the Site, and we agree the scope, dates, and fee in a written proposal or booking confirmation. Payment is made by the method stated there, which may be Stripe checkout, invoice, or bank transfer. Your contract with us forms when we confirm your booking or you accept the proposal, and any deposit or payment terms will be set out at that point.

Digital products. Our books, e-book, and downloadable materials are covered separately in Section 6.

4. Certification and PSM I Assessment Voucher

Enrollment in the Scrum Master Training & Certification Prep program includes one official PSM I assessment attempt voucher issued by Scrum.org. The certification assessment itself is administered by Scrum.org under its own terms, and the PSM I certificate is awarded by Scrum.org, not by us. While the training is designed to prepare you thoroughly, we cannot and do not guarantee that you will pass the assessment. Where a PSM I voucher has been issued to you or redeemed at your express request, its value is non-refundable.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in Romania by OUG 34/2014). You can use the model withdrawal form we make available on request, or simply tell us of your decision in a clear statement by email.

If you withdraw within 14 days of payment and before the training has started, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method, minus the value of any PSM I voucher already issued at your express request.

If you ask us to begin the training within the 14-day withdrawal period, we will do so only at your express request. If you then withdraw before the training is fully delivered, you will owe a proportional amount for the part already delivered. Where you expressly asked us to deliver the training in full within this period and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once it is fully delivered, that right no longer applies once delivery is complete.

You may reschedule to another available training slot free of charge up to 7 days before your booked slot starts, or name a substitute participant at any time before the training begins. Just email us.

If we have to cancel or reschedule a training (for example, due to trainer illness or insufficient participants), you may choose between a full refund and a place in an alternative slot.

To cancel, withdraw, or reschedule, email contact@iuliaistrati.com from the address you registered with. Refunds due on withdrawal are issued via Stripe to your original payment method within 14 days.

6. Digital Products and Downloads

Paid digital products. The Art of Becoming book and the Mind Alchemy e-book are sold through third-party platforms: The Art of Becoming through Amazon, and the Mind Alchemy e-book through Payhip and Amazon. Your purchase contract for a paid digital product is concluded with, and processed by, the platform you buy it from, under that platform’s own terms of sale and refund policy. Under those terms and EU law on digital content, the statutory right of withdrawal normally lapses once you consent to immediate delivery, acknowledge that you lose that right, and the download begins.

Free downloads. The Art of Becoming workbook is offered as a free download from the Site. No payment is taken and no purchase contract is formed. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to the intellectual property terms in Section 8.

7. Coaching and Wellbeing Disclaimer

Our coaching sessions, programs, workshops, and publications are educational and developmental in nature. They are not medical, psychological, or psychotherapeutic treatment, and they are not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or care. If you are experiencing a mental or physical health condition, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. You remain responsible for the decisions and actions you take based on our services.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site and all materials provided as part of our services, including training materials, workbooks, slides, recordings, and the Mind Alchemy e-book, are the intellectual property of Iulia Istrati or her licensors. They are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only and may not be copied, shared, resold, or redistributed without prior written permission. Scrum.org, PSM, and related marks belong to their respective owners.

9. Acceptable Use of the Site

You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to gain unauthorized access, submitting false or automated form entries, interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access to the Site where necessary to protect it or other users.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, liability for fraud, and your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, our liability is limited to foreseeable loss arising directly from a failure to provide our services with reasonable care and skill, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party websites and platforms linked from the Site (such as Stripe, Payhip, Amazon, or Scrum.org).

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the EU country where you reside. If a dispute arises, please contact us first, and we will do our best to resolve it amicably. Consumers in Romania may also turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro) or an approved alternative dispute resolution body.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new services. The version published on the Site at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
